The Contemporary Museum, Honolulu, is the only museum in the state of Hawai‘i devoted exclusively to contemporary art. TCM provides an accessible forum for provocative, dynamic forms of visual art, offering interaction with art and artists in a unique Island environment. TCM presents its innovative exhibition and educational programs at two venues: in residential Honolulu at the historic Cooke-Spalding house, and downtown at First Hawaiian Center.
The Contemporary Museum’s Biennial of Hawaii Artists IX is on view from September 25, 2010 - January 11, 2011. TCM’s Biennial will feature seven contemporary artists who reside in Hawaii and create art in a variety of media. For more information any of our exhibitions or programs, please contact The Contemporary Museum at ph 808.526.1322 or info@tcmhi.org or visit our website at www.tcmhi.org.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
