It collects, preserves, exhibits, studies, and interprets the artifacts, art, and literature of the sport and uses these resources to engage and benefit everyone.

Exhibits

On the day of September 25, 2011 our groundbreaking exhibition, A Graceful Rise: Women in Fly Fishing Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow will be on display. Through a shared passion, women have made many great contributions to the sport of fly fishing. Beginning in the late 15th century when Dame Juliana Berners published her angling treatise to the contemporary women who serve as executives in the fly fishing industry, countless women have been leaders and innovators to successfully advance and promote the appreciation, skill, and knowledge of this sport. A Graceful Rise will examine the key roles women have played in the past and how these women have inspired and empowered the following generations to continue contributing to the sport of fly fishing.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
