The Lace Museum showcases an extensive collection of lace and lace-making tools. The museum is home to historic costume, lace accessories, lace-making tools, linens and embroidery, books and other materials covering the history of lace.
Tea for Two. An exhibit of lace and linens from the 19th and 20th centuries for use in the home. Tablcloths, tea cozies, doilies, pillowcases, anti-macassars, pot-holders, wall-hangings and other wonderful hand-made lace.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
