The Vanderpoel House of History is a distinguished example of Federal period architecture. Originally the home of a prominent lawyer and politician, James Vanderpoel, the house is newly restored, has become an education center for the Columbia County Historical Society.
"Home and Away, Columbia County During the Civil War": View a recreation of a Civil War era parlor, and learn about efforts on the homefront to support the soldiers. Follow the life of a Columbia County soldier from enlistment to war, in a hands-on setting.
