NEARER TO NATURE!
Through spectacular live animal exhibits, natural science education programs, and lake cruises, the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center has educated and enlightened visitors for over forty years about New Hampshire's natural world.
Open meadows, mature forests, and marsh boardwalks connect interactive natural exhibits where native animals reside: black bears, mountain lions, raptors, river otters, bobcats, and more. In addition, take a Lake Cruise on pristine Squam Lake, and enjoy the beauty of Kirkwood Gardens.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
