SBMM mission is to preserve and celebrate the maritime heritage of the California Coast and present it to the public in an interesting and exciting way.
SBMM has a First-Order Lighthouse Fresnel Lens, Commercial diving and fishing, Historic fishing boats, History of Surfing, Shipwrecks, Environmental movement, Chumash, Island ranching, Art, Military Actions, Ship models, Interactive exhibits, 1969 oil spill, Channel Island History, Diving Bell and much more. Daily films, monthly lectures, facility rentals and annual events are also offered.
