The Sanguinetti House Museum collects and exhibits the history of the lower Colorado River and our green gardens have exotic birds. Our museum shop features a large selection of Arizona, Yuma, and southwest books.
Exhibits include Spaniards, local native American tribes, military, steamboats, mining, and agriculture, all showing how Yuma developed and changed. We have two period rooms which show parlors at different time periods.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
