The Square House Museum is a colonial-era historic tavern on the original Boston Post Road. We offer tours, children's programs, history walking tours, a lecture series, and much more.
The Knapp House Archives is housed in a salt-box colonial dating back to 1676. We have an extensive collection of original documents and historic photographs, as well as being the official archives for the City of Rye.
Rye During WWII
Using personal items loaned by men and women who fought in WW2 along with an extensive collection of original WW2 propaganda posters, we illustrate the impact of the war on all aspects of American life.
