The Potsdam Museum is dedicated to preserving and presenting the local history of both the village and town of Potsdam. The museum has both an archive and artifact collection, along with a research area for the public.
Our on-going exhibit is Potsdam's History and it's People. We also plan to have a mini exhibit: A 1960's Extravaganza. This exhibit will include fashions from our textile collection and high school memorabilia, for Potsdam High School's Reunion.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
