The Point Fermin Lighthouse is an 1874 Victorian Lighthouse that was the first lighthouse to guide ships into the Los Angeles Harbor. Public tours are at 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 PM Tuesday through Sunday. (Closed Monday) Entry into the lighthouse is by tour only. The lighthouse is located in the beautiful Point Fermin Park.
The lighthouse has been restored to its 1874 splendor with its keepers quarters recreated and furnished in different eras of the lighthouse's history. The lighthouse's last used 4th order Fresnel lens is on display on the first floor.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
