The Otter Tail County Historical Society is one of the most active local historical organizations in Minnesota. Its visually appealing exhibit gallery and resource rich genealogical and local history research center make the society a popular place to visit.

Exhibits

The society's exhibit gallery reveals over 100 permanent and changing displays. The stunningly realistic dioramas and authentically furnished period rooms make the museum an unique place to visit. Family friendly, the museum also features interactive activities including the popular Museum Bingo scavenger hunt.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
