The Museum is located in a former Andrew Carnegie Library. Exhibits focus on the history and people of Northport and the surrounding areas.

Exhibits

"50 Years of Preserving and Celebrating Northport's History” exhibit features items solely from the Society's Collection and honors the Society's founders and their activities. The history of the greater Northport area also features in the display.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
