The National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg, Texas, is a world-class museum dedicated to preserving, interpreting and teaching the story of World War II in the Pacific and East Asia. The Museum is a property of the Texas Historical Commission.

Exhibits

Located on a six-acre campus with more than 50,000 square feet of modern, engaging exhibits and spectacular artifacts, the Museum includes the George H.W. Bush Gallery, Admiral Nimitz Museum, Pacific Combat Zone, Plaza of Presidents, Memorial Courtyard, and the
Japanese Garden of Peace.





Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
