The National Museum of the Pacific War, a Texas Historical Commission property operated by the Admiral Nimitz Foundation located in Fredericksburg, Texas, is the only institution in the continental United States dedicated exclusively to telling the story of the Pacific Theater battles of World War II.
Museums and cultural venues participate in Museum Day voluntarily. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for individual museum content or participation.
