The Musuem of Yarmouth History contains displays celebrating the proud heritage of the Yarmouth ship building community. The museum offers a concise look at Yarmouth throughout the centuries.
Interpretative exhibits comprised of historical objects, photographs, and other materials, help bring to life the earliest generations that lived in this area. The exhibits show how a community changes over time from the native Abenaki tribes to the present day.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
