The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD)--with locations in La Jolla and downtown San Diego--is the region’s preeminent contemporary visual arts institution devoted to the exploration and presentation of the art of our time.

Exhibits

On view at MCASD Downtown, Viva la Revolución: A Dialogue with the Urban Landscape features works both in the Museum’s galleries as well as at public sites throughout downtown San Diego by a diverse range of 20 international street artists, including Shepard Fairey and Banksy, among others.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
