The Museum of Arts & Sciences (MOAS) is the primary art, history and science museum in Central Florida. Located on a 90-acre Florida preserve, the 100,000 square foot facility is host to over 30,000 objects including the most complete Giant Ground Sloth Skeleton (of its species) in North America and the largest permanent exhibition of Cuban art outside of Cuba. Also on display is Coca-Cola entrepreneur Chapman Root's lifetime collection of Americana, including two private rail cars. The museum's theater, planetarium, and new children's science center create an interactive experience for each guest.

Exhibits

Giant Ground Sloth / Prehistory of Florida - The Volusia County Giant Ground Sloth is the best preserved and most complete fossil of this species in North America and has made its home at The Center for Florida History of MOAS for the past 30 years.

The Weird and Wonderful: Unique Decorative Arts From the Lightner Museum, St. Augustine - This exhibition explores and highlights some of his most exciting and historic purchases and includes: a rare Regency terrestrial globe; swan and Sphinx-decorated Egyptian revival furniture;oversized Oriental and European porcelains.

New Horizons: Antique Maps from the MOAS collections - Map makers and explorers of the New World in the 16th through the 19th centuries
