The Museum of Anthropology at Wake Forest University is North Carolina's only museum dedicated to the study of global cultures. Artifacts on exhibit from the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Oceania tell humanity's story from ancient times to today.
Please contact the Museum at (336) 758-5282 for specific directions.
MOA features two special exhibits this fall: "Dias de los Muertos (Days of the Dead)" and "Local Peace Corps Volunteers: Bringing Cultures Together for 50 Years." Permanent exhibits discuss such diverse topics as ancient Maya ceramics, African religion, and North Carolina Native Americans.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
