"The Vision of George Stavrinos": The Museum of American Illustration at the Society of Illustrators is proud to present "The Vision of George Stavrinos" on exhibit from September 3 – October 19, 2013, featuring over 100 illustrations highlighting Stavrinos’ career as a seductive draftsman and fashion illustrator. This exhibit offers the public an opportunity to acknowledge this renaissance artist who was gifted as a designer, photographer, filmmaker and commercial illustrator. His work remains an inspiration for art and fashion today. On display in the Main Gallery.
"Peter Kuper: Drawn To New York": Peter Kuper's illustrations and comics appear regularly in Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, and MAD, where he illustrates SPY vs. SPY every month. He has written and illustrated many books including Comics Trips a journal of an eight-month trip through Africa and Southeast Asia. His latest book "Drawn To New York" is an illustrated chronicle of his three decades in New York City. On display in the second floor MoCCA Gallery.
"Gregory Manchess: A Life in Paint": Creating a moment that communicates emotionally with the viewer is the essence of Gregory Manchess' artwork. His work has appeared on covers for Atlantic Monthly, Scientific American, and TIME magazine, as well as spreads for Playboy, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, Smithsonian, and numerous book covers. Gregory's interest in history and his excellent figure work have made him a favorite in the fantasy and science fiction genre. Conveying emotion through rhythm and timing drives Manchess' masterful, alla prima brushwork as the hallmark of his style. On display in the third floor Hall of Fame Gallery.
