Millard Sheets Center for the Arts is located on the grounds at Fairplex and presents a major annual exhibition during the L.A. County Fair. Located in a historic building built by the WPA, we exhibit art that provokes curiosity, inspires interest, expands thinking, and educates people of all ages.Hours of Operation: Wednesday and Sunday 10 am to 10 pmThursday, Friday, and Saturday 10 am to 11 pm
The Making of Art: The First 30,000 Years. An exhibition of the history and evolution of creating art will be featured September 5-October 4, 2009. Visitors will also see demonstrating artists, visit a workshop to create their own masterpiece, listen to a storyteller, and more.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
