Miami Art Museum is dedicated to engaging the public with international art of the 20th and 21st centuries, taking a hemispheric perspective of the Americas. Since its founding in 1996, the Museum has built what Art in America called "the quintessential Miami collection."
Recent Acquisitions, March 15-October 11, 2009. This exhibition includes works by some of the best-known artists in contemporary art, illuminating the exciting development in the depth and breadth of Miami ARt Museum's permanent collection over the last two years.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
