The Mesa Historical Museum is located in the historic Lehi School buildings, which are on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum preserves the history of Mesa, Arizona, and situates that history within the broader context of Arizona and U.S. history.

Exhibits

"Searching for Mesa: Finding Ourselves in Our History" explores the history of Mesa through more than 200 historic photographs and artifacts. "Thanks for Tuning In: The Wallace and Ladmo Show" explores this Arizona icon through costumes, photographs, props, and even a Ladmo Bag. The museum's newest exhibit, "Play Ball: The Cactus League Experience" covers the history of baseball in Arizona. Other exhibits include an Adobe School House and historic farm equipment.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
