On the charming town square in Marietta, GA, the Museum is located in the historic Kennesaw House, built 1845. One of the few buildings not burned by Union troops during the war, it has a colorful past as a longtime hotel. The four galleries include Local History, Homelife, Military and the Raiders Room.
Museums and cultural venues participate in Museum Day voluntarily. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for individual museum content or participation.
