Manoa Heritage Center is a Hawaiian cultural site and a native plant garden with many rare and endangered species. The property includes a heiau, an ancient Hawaiian stone religious structure. Exhibits
Our one hour guided tour, by reservation only, takes you on a walk through the native plant garden which surrounds an ancient stone walled structure. The structure, or heiau, was used by Hawaiians to communicate with the gods through offerings and chants.
Museums and cultural venues participate in Museum Day voluntarily. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for individual museum content or participation.
