ALFOT: Wind, Sails & Rigging
During the 19th and early 20th centuries, wind power fell from favor in the maritime world. Now, new technologies, materials and designs are evolving to once again harness the most abundant resource. The exhibit presents comparisons of sail design, handling, rigging, and terminology.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
