The Loveland Museum/Gallery is an accredited art and history museum with three art galleries and numerous history exhibits. Art exhibits change every 8-12 weeks and permanent history exhibits include Mariano Medina's Cabin, Great Western Sugar Factory, Sweetheart City USA, and the Fireside Gallery.
Birds in Art originated in 1976 at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin and has grown to become a coveted exhibition featuring some of the best-known collections of contemporary avian art. The current exhibition features 50 paintings and 10 sculptures.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
