The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, Wausau, WI, offers ten to twelve changing exhibitions each year, including its own internationally-acclaimed "Birds in Art" exhibition each fall. Throughout more than three decades, the Museum and its signature "Birds in Art" exhibition has earned the reputation of setting the standard for avian art.
Birds amuse with their antics, invoke awe with their majesty, and provide endless artistic inspiration for artists throughout the world. Artist who strive each year to be among those chosen for the internationally renowned "Birds in Art" exhibition continually raise the bar of artistic achievement. The 38th annual "Birds in Art" exhibition celebrates avian marvels through fresh interpretations in original paintings, sculptures, and graphics created within the last two years by worldwide artists and will be on view at the Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin, September 7 through November 10, 2013.
