Lane Place is the restored home of Henry S. Lane, U.S. Representative, Indiana Governor, and Civil War Senator. A strong supporter of Abraham Lincoln, Lane helped secure Lincoln's presidential nomination. Lane Place features original furnishings and artifacts relating to Lane's political career and connections to Lincoln.

Exhibits

The exhibit, "Lane Place and the Sesquicentennial of the Civil War" highlights artifacts from 1861-1864 from our collection.




Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
