Kearns is a community that was built over what remained of Camp Kearns; a WWII temporary base. For over 60 years the history was lost, until 1998 when those who severed during the war times were finally located. The lost history has come home.
Our exhibits depict what life was like at a temporary base for a bunch of young boys going off to war. This is their memories, a gift they sent to a community who never forgot them. Other exhibits will depict the transformation from a military base to a community.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
