Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum offers climbing tours of the landmark 1860 lighthouse. The waterfront museum is a restored WWII building with a Museum gift shop and World War II-themed snack shop. The Lighthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is part of the first federally designated "Outstanding Natural Area" east of the pacific coastline.
"Five Thousand Years on the Loxahatchee." The exhibit features Native American, Spanish Contact, Lighthouse, Florida maritime, and Pioneer history. Outdoor exhibits include the Tindall Pioneer Homestead, Pennock Plantation Bell, and Oil House. Last lighthouse tour leaves at 4pm. Children must be 4' tall to climb tower.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
