Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art Website »
Serving Auburn and the surrounding communities since 2003, the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art is the only university art museum in the state of Alabama. The modern 40,000 square-foot building constructed of Italian travertine is an artwork in itself. We invite you to wander through our spacious lobby, terrace, exhibition galleries, museum shop, café, and auditorium. The museum is an elegant escape with its beautiful gardens, sculptures, and fountains. Take a stroll on the Lethander Art Path (LAP) around the peaceful three-acre lake. Enjoy a special visit that will change your outlook and inspire you at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art.
Three exhibits will be on view on September 24 including, John James Audubon’s Royal Octavo editions of The Birds of America; On the Silk Road and the High Seas; and Bacon Level,Hickory Flat, and the Illustrious Potteries of Randolph and Chambers Counties, Alabama.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
