The museum traces the 50-million-year history of the horse. Priceless artifacts and special exhibits showcase the variety of horse breeds and disciplines available today. Includes: Timeline of the Horse, Horse Breeds of the World, the Horse in Sport, Calumet Trophy Collection, Carriage Room and more.
Museums and cultural venues participate in Museum Day voluntarily. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for individual museum content or participation.
