The museum traces the 50-million-year history of the horse. Priceless artifacts and special exhibits showcase the variety of horse breeds and disciplines available today. Includes: Timeline of the Horse, Horse Breeds of the World, the Horse in Sport, the Al-Marah Arabian Horse Galleries and more.

Exhibits

Ancient Bronzes of the Asian Grasslands, through October 9, 2011 - a major sampling of steppe art from the renowned Sackler Collections. Eighty-five works illustrate the personal decorations and equipment of the horse-riding steppe dwellers of the late 2nd and 1st millennia BCE.




Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
