The International Center of Photography is a world-class museum and school dedicated to exploring the possibilities of the photographic medium through dynamic exhibitions and educational programs.

Exhibits

"Lewis Hine's Lasting Legacy" draws on ICP’s archive of Hine’s prints from the National Research Project.

"JFK November 22, 1963: A Bystander's View of History" includes stills from famous footage of the Kennedy assassination, as well as news photographs, snapshots by bystanders, souvenirs, and scrapbooks.




Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
