Started during the Great Depression in 1934 as a WPA project, the Indianapolis Art Center is a non-profit community arts organization that offers 300 classes, workshops and samplers each semester in glass blowing, ceramics, steel & metal sculpture, jewelry making, woodworking, fiber arts, photography, printmaking, painting and drawing. The Art Center changes exhibitions every six weeks. Exhibitions are open to the public seven days a week and free.
