Located in Historic Vincennes, Indiana, the Indiana Military Museum has well rounded exhibits of military vehicles, artillery, uniforms, insignia, equipment and related artifacts spanning the Civil War to the Persian Gulf.
Some exhibits include a Beech C-45, Huey Helicopter, Sherman tank, 2- WWII Stewart tanks, T-33 Jet, WWII DUKW, M114 and many other vehicles. Also on display are various cannons, field guns and howitzers along with many displays of uniforms, field equipment and insignia.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
