Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum Website »
The Hydroplane & Raceboat Museum is the nations only public museum dedicated solely to powerboat racing. Formed in 1983, our mission is to preserve and exhibit important artifacts from the sport of hydroplane racing. We feature an incredible collection of vintage hydroplanes spanning seven decades.
Our museum is the primary resource for historical and educational information on hydroplane racing. In addition to boats that have won a combined 17 Gold Cups, our extensive collection includes books, magazines, photos, films and memorabilia dating back to the turn of the last century.
This venue will accept your Museum Day Live! ticket on the screen of your smartphone.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
