New Harmony, the site of two 19th century utopian experiments, has been a favorite place to rejuvenate the spirit for nearly 200 years. Tours, programs, exhibits and special events offered throughout the year. Begin your New Harmony experience at the award-winning Atheneum/Visitors Center.

Exhibits

Trained guides lead walking tours daily. These tours include an orientation film at the Atheneum/Visitors Center, Atheneum exhibits,and access into numerous historic sites. The typical tour lasts two to three hours.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
