The Higgins Armory Museum opens minds and excites learning by engaging visitors' imaginations with its exceptional collection of authentic armor and arms, from ancient Greece to the Renaissance. Founded in 1931, it is the only museum in the Western Hemisphere solely dedicated to the collection of arms and armor, and is the second largest collection of arms and armor in this hemisphere.

Exhibits

On September 24th the Higgins will be featuring two presentations: Celtic Warrior Arms & Armor Show at 11:30 am and Boudica at 2:00 pm. For more information about these shows, visit our website at www.higgins.org.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
