The Heritage Museum of Orange County, home of the 1898 Kellogg House, sits on 12 acres of land in the heart of Santa Ana. In addition, the Museum features a nature preserve that includes the last two acres of swamp land in the county, floral gardens, groves of five different types of citrus fruit, and an Abobe house built by volunteers using traditional methods.
The Heritage Museum of Orange County plans to have two exhibits featured for Smithsonian Day. The Maag House will be open for all visitors to experience the future exhibition gallery site for the museum. The will be decorated with Maag Family artifacts and ephemera. Also located in the Kellogg House will be the Heritage Home #16 dollhouse furnished and displayed by miniatures crafted by top miniature artisans.
This venue will accept your Museum Day Live! ticket on the screen of your smartphone.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
