The Headley-Whitney Museum is a decorative arts museum located in the heart of Kentucky Bluegrass Country. Founded in 1968 by acclaimed jewelry designer George W. Headley, the museum’s permanent collection includes many of Headley’s stunning works.
The Horse in Decorative and Fine Art exhibition will display objects featuring the horse from private and museum collections throughout Kentucky.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
