The Harry Ransom Center at The University of Texas at Austin houses a rare Gutenberg Bible, the First Photograph, and extensive collections of literature, art, photography, film, and the performing arts. The Center presents exhibitions and events featuring materials from its rich holdings.
Visit the exhibition “Discovering the Language of Photography: The Gernsheim Collection," which highlights key moments in the history of photograph and important technological and ideological shifts in the act of picture making.
