A 21st-century museum, the Stowe Center uses Harriet Beecher Stowe's story to inspire social justice and positive change. Stowe wrote the best-selling anti-slavery novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Themed tours offered every half hour and The Child’s Tour at 2 p.m.

Exhibits

"Uncle Tom’s Cabin: A Moral Battle Cry for Freedom" exhibit in Visitor Center. Explores the national and international impact of Stowe’s famous work. Museum Store offers exceptional gifts and books. Self-guided garden tour available. Celebrating Stowe’s 200th birthday in 2011.




Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
