The Haggerty Museum of Art features an impressive permanent collection of over 4,500 works of art reflecting a variety of artistic mediums from periods ranging from the Renaissance to contemporary. Located just west of downtown Milwaukee, the museum regularly offers exhibitions showing cultural diversity and art influenced by modern technology.

Exhibits

The Haggerty Museum of Art presents the exhibition "Current Tendencies II, Artists from Milwaukee", spotlighting 10 Milwaukee artists working in a variety of media including photography, painting, video, drawing, printing and site-specific installations, featuring a wide array of topics, from the conflict in the Middle East, to evolving technologies, to race, gender and family.




Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
