Grand Rapids Art Museum presents exhibitions of national caliber and regional distinction. The collection spans Renaissance to Modern Art, including more than 3500 prints, drawings and photographs. Founded in 1910, GRAM recently re-opened as the first LEED Gold certified art museum in the world.
The permanent collection rotates throughout the year and will be on view along with the special exhibition of ArtPrize artists. GRAM is an ArtPrize exhibition site, featuring over 25 works as part of the world's largest top prize open art competition in the world.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
