The Georgia Music Hall of Fame is organized in to a musical village called Tune Town which exhibits the inductees from each genre of Georgia music and teaches the history of the time periods in which each genre was very popular.
The Georgia Music Hall of Fame is excited to exhibit, "Macon, Georgia: Cradle of American Music," featuring over 20 portraits by nationally recognized artist Steve Penley. Born in Chattanooga, Penley grew up in Macon where his early influences were television, comic books, and music.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
