The Folk Pottery Museum of Northeast Georgia features the stories of potters who shaped the clays of this region into items now valued and collected as a distinctive folk art. Known for its traditional pottery, northeast Georgia is home to the noted Meaders family.

Exhibits

5000 square foot exhibit on the history and living history of northeast Georgia folk pottery.
Changing gallery features the work and story of folk potter and teacher LQ Meaders.




Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
