Florida Air Museum is more than a repository for aircraft, documents and artifacts. A strong educational mission is housed in 7 buildings providing quality youth and adult programs. Central to this effort is a 600 student aerospace academy; Destination Aviation and STEMtastic summer camps.

Exhibits

The Florida Air Museum has 70+ rare and historic aircraft such as a Sea Dart and Vertical Riser. Themed exhibits are of regional and national interest. A unique research library of 30,000 items includes over 8,000 items from Howard Huges personal collections.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
