The Florida Agricultural Museum is the State museum for rural and agricultural history. The museum preserves a number of historic buildings and keeps rare livestock breeds including Florida Cracker Horses and Cattle. Exciting, fun, and educational experiences for all ages.
Exhibits include an 1890s farmstead, 1890s general store, Depression-Era citrus complex, 1940s dairy barn, and our newest exhibit, "Florida's Black Cowboys: Past and Present". Wagon rides take our visitors to the various exhibits throughout our 460 acre museum.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
