Located on 11-acres in the historic village of Old Lyme, the Florence Griswold Museum, known as the Home of American Impressionism, features the restored Florence Griswold House, where the artists of the Lyme Art Colony lived, an exhibition gallery, education center, extensive gardens, and artist’s studio.
Museums and cultural venues participate in Museum Day voluntarily. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for individual museum content or participation.
