Enjoy historic buildings in a downtown park including working blacksmith shop, 1888 Santa Fe Depot, railroad car with model train, and fully furnished 1890 Victorian house.

Exhibits

Local history exhibits on Escondido California, highlighting transportation, home life, city development and occupations. Blacksmithing classes will be in session in the Bandy Blacksmith Shop. Additionally, a free outdoor performance (TBA) will take place between 3pm-5pm right outside the museum, as part of Saturdays in the Park.




Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
