The "River Center" is the nature center of Sequim, WA, providing a variety of hands-on environmental education programs for children and adults covering the natural history and cultural history of the north Olympic Peninsula. The Center also manages Railroad Bridge Park, including a historic railroad bridge and trestle over the Dungeness River.

Exhibits

The River Center has an exquisite collection of mounted specimens of many bird species found in western Washington, along with exhibits about anadromous fish, plant communities, and the geology found in watershed of the Dungeness River, its estuary, and surrounding habitats.

Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
